Star Wars are the most successful science fiction movies of all time. There are still large sales involving merchandise and the movies on video. Harrison Ford still receives millions of dollars in royalties from the show every year. There seem to be a major fan base of the movie series, right across the world. I am a big star wars fan myself and spend endless hours posting about the movies across science fiction forums.

Luke Skywalker throughout all the movies is seen as the saviour who will be able to fight and defeat the evil forces of Dark Vader. Who turns out to be related to him in the later movies, which is a big twist that no one would have expected. The movies are so great because the pictures are just amazing, with space ships flying and different species getting off them to fight.

There have been countless star wars movies and all have jumped to the number one position as the most popular movie at the box office over a series of decades. My favourite move personally was return of the Jedi, that was easily the best to my liking, but all of them are such high class, that is what makes it such a good movie series.
